ARI Chairman and former LAPD Chief Bill Bratton Keynotes at GovSec

FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 15, 2010 – Altegrity Risk International (ARI) Chairman William J. Bratton, who established his reputation in the law enforcement and criminal justice communities as one of America’s premier police chiefs, will be the keynote speaker at GovSec/U.S. Law conference, the leading event in the nation’s capital for homeland security and law enforcement professionals.

The conference, March 23-24, will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. It is expected to draw hundreds of law enforcement management, security officers, and public safety leaders from government agencies and the military. Bill Bratton has served as chairman of ARI, which provides high-quality investigative, analytic, consulting, and security services to businesses around the world, since November 2009. During his remarks at 8:00 a.m. March 23, Mr. Bratton will discuss how the practice and technology of policing must be an integral part of real-world planning for peacekeeping and nation building operations overseas. The topic of his remarks, “The Practice and Technology of Policing Today and Into the Future: Not Just Part of an Exit Strategy Anymore,” dovetails with the conference theme: Where the Mission is Securing Our Nation.

“As our world shifts, so do the security needs of our country and those we are committed to assist,” said Michael John, senior vice president of communication for Altegrity, ARI’s parent company. “The early, active involvement of law enforcement professionals and application of police technology, IT systems, and expertise cannot be relegated to the position of just an ‘exit strategy.’ Chief Bratton will discuss how and why policing and rule of law fundamentals must be a central, core element of any realistic plan to assist troubled nations and emerging democracies.”
