ASC President Michael Berkow talks Predictive Policing to Virginia crime analysts
FALLS CHURCH, Va., April 5, 2010 -
Altegrity Security Consulting (ASC) President Michael Berkow will be the keynote speaker at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, at the Virginia Crime Analysis Network (VCAN) Spring Symposium in Chantilly, Va. The theme for the symposium is predictive policing and Mr. Berkow will speak about the law enforcement work he has led in that area. Mr. Berkow’s distinguished career includes serving as Chief of Police for four cities, most recently Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department, as well as a Deputy Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department.
“The early, active involvement of law enforcement professionals and application of police expertise is possible through the fusion of information from various agencies,” said Michael Berkow, president of Altegrity Security Consulting. “This is a fundamental change from previous eras of policing thanks to the advent of methodologies and new technologies.”
