Altegrity names Matthew Pachman as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer
Falls Church, Va., May 10, 2010 –
Altegrity, Inc.—the global screening, risk management, and security solutions provider—has named Matthew B. Pachman as vice president and chief compliance officer, responsible for coordinating and overseeing the corporation’s enterprise compliance and business ethics programs. Mr. Pachman reports to David Fontaine, senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary.

Mr. Pachman comes to Altegrity from Freddie Mac, where he held the position of vice president, compliance - ethics and business practices. In that role, he led enterprise-wide ethics and compliance functions and managed the team responsible for the company’s code of conduct program, including maintenance of code-related policies, development and implementation of training programs, internal investigations, and certifications.
Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Mr. Pachman was a lawyer with MCI WorldCom, Inc. From 1996 to 2004, he served in a variety of roles at MCI and was ultimately appointed to lead the company’s new corporate ethics function. At MCI, Mr. Pachman and his team built a global ethics program from the ground up. Before joining MCI, he was an attorney in private practice with the Washington office of the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP. He began his legal career serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Karen LeCraft Henderson of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Mr. Pachman holds a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law with Order of the Coif honors. He also served as a member of the Virginia Law Review.
